Want to Join Girl Scouts?
You can sign your daughter up for the 2016-17 membership year (runs 10/1/16-9/30/17) at gsema.org. The cost is $25 for a girl membership and $15 for an adult membership. Meetings are usually weekly or every other week and date/time are set by the troop leaders. During registration, you can search by your zip code and your daughter's grade level in the fall to see available troops in your area. If you don't see any, please select "Unsure" and the Girl Scout Council of Eastern Massachusetts (GSEM) will contact you to assist with placement as they are working out a glitch in the system and not all troops are listed.
Do you have a talent to share or experience that will benefit your daughter's Girl Scout troop? We're always looking for parents to volunteer as much or as little time as your schedule permits. Any adult who works with the troop in any capacity must be a registered troop member and CORIed by GSEM.
Want to be in Girl Scouts but don't have time for troop meetings?
Girl Scouts has a pathway that allows you to participate in the events and programs that you choose based upon your interests and what works for your schedule with no requirements to attend troop meetings. Basically, you can participate as little or as much as you want. Register online at gsema.org and search for troops in your zip code and then choose "Individually Registered Member" to register without being assigned to a troop.
